The Case for Opening of Scream (2):
Few movies have so effortlessly revitalized an entire genre the way Scream did back in 1996, and a major factor in that success was the opening of the film: The now-iconic question 'What's your favorite scary movie?' followed by the brutal murder of the (at the time) biggest star in the film - Drew Barrymore. By the time Casey's mother walked out the door, moviegoers knew they were in for a treat - one of the best slasher films ever made.

The Case for The Creature Attacks:
Hinted at before, this moment in The Host - where the creature first appears - is a scene of chaos and carnage as the monster runs rampant through a Korean park, attacking and destroying indiscriminately. Featuring an inventive creature design, the scene ends with a moment of horror as our hero, Park Gang-du (Song Kang-ho), watches the creature capture and leave with his daughter, Hyun-seo (Go Ah-sung)
