Battle of Movie Moments: Pirin Tablets vs. Good Morning, Baltimore vs. Train Wreck

Your Champion
Pirin Tablets (The Birdcage)

VS

Your Champion
Good Morning, Baltimore (Hairspray)

VS

Your Challenger
Train Wreck (Super 8)

The Case for Pirin Tablets (2):
Sometimes you need to cater to the whims of your star, and sometimes you just want her to calm down and do her damn job.  In The Birdcage, Armand (Robin Williams) is trying to get the latter result when he is assisted by a moment of brilliance from Agador (Hank Azaria), who offers Starina (Nathan Lane) some 'Pirin Tablets' to help her perform.

The Case for Good Morning, Baltimore (1):
Movie musicals are a crapshoot:  For every Wizard of Oz or West Side Story, there are a half dozen Rock of Ages or Mamma Mias.  So going into a new movie musical can cause trepidation for one who loves them.  Which is why this opening number from Hairspray is so wonderful: by the time she's on the garbage truck, you know the movie is in good hands, so you can sit back and enjoy the movie.

The Case for Train Wreck:
While quite and contemplative in the first part, Super 8 shifts into high gear during this moment, with a train derailment that is a symphony of destruction.  While one might argue with how believable it is for all of the kids to be alive by the end of it, that doesn't take away from the thrill of the moment, nor the mystery of the end...

Which do you pick?

Good Morning, Baltimore
